Your Questions From Instagram

It’s been a MINUTE since I’ve journaled. It’s been last on my to do list quite honestly but I’ve missed it. When our social media marketing intern, Genevive ran a Q+A on our stories, you guys came through with the questions. If you missed this, don’t worry we’ll be doing it again soon. We’ve compiled our top questions and my responses here.

Q- Do you only work with high end/ expensive homes?

A- We work with clients of all home sizes and budgets! . Regardless of your budget, the number one factor in working with a client is to know that they trust us , give us full creative direction and value the service we provide. In terms of budgeting, we need to make sure that the expectations and  budget match.  We’re interested in working on all different size projects while mainly you’ll see many of our projects being new builds, renovations or full home furnishings. We do have smaller scale projects that we work on in between and we love those just as much as the larger projects. If you’re interested in working with us, fill out the form on our contact page and will gather more information on what our firm can bring to elevate your home

Q- What are good / easy alternatives to “boob lamps” for a ceiling light?

A- The dreaded boob light… I love the look of detailed drum surface mounts, slim shades, sculptural flush or semi flush mounts as well as arm flush mounts that hug the ceiling but extend wider should you have the space. If a surface mount is not needed we will have recessed light installed and it’s former location for a simple clean look

Q- Do you have a favorite white for walls and trim?

A- A true clean white, Chantilly lace a warmer white, white dove for both walls and trim. Both are Benjamin Moore.

I prefer to match my whites and change out the finish versus having two different weights play against each other, that never ends well.

Q- How long have you been doing this?

A- Short answer…Since I was 12 🤣

Long answer- I went back to school for design in 2011, then left my corporate job and started my company in 2013. However, I held it back and even with our small successes (being on @HGTV x2) I didn’t allow the company to truly grow to its potential until 2018 after I had our 2nd child!

Q- Do you do single wall renderings?

A- We do! We offer single and multiple angle renders for our full service clients.

We hope we’ve answered some of your questions in sharing those asked on our Instagram page. If you have a question be sure to follow us @ginabaran and we’ll be opening up the question box soon!
